A Hope Coach should not give advice, nor problem solve, but rather listen carefully so you hear the heart of what the Hope Seeker is saying.

It is important to be totally present (focused) when listening to someone sharing their pain.

Saying things like “Tell me more” can help someone tell their story.

In the audio call recording played within the video, the woman received help and was able to take the next step all because the man listened.

By simply listening, we begin to lessen the pain of the Hope Seeker as they empty their heart of their pain.

Compassionate listening is a key to helping the Hope Seeker.

If someone is incorrect or has the wrong perspective as they share their pain with you, go ahead and stop listening and correct them.

A Hope Coach helps people process their pain and see the potential next step(s) to take.

The Hope Seeker should feel safe in sharing with us as we compassionately listen.

It is possible to show too much compassion as you listen.
