This presentation will inform the participant about how Parish Nursing (a.k.a.- Faith Community Nursing) can be an important ministry in churches for people experiencing loss and grief. The presenter will discuss the role of Parish Nurses in churches and give personal stories of her relationship with congregants and how she ministered to those who have experienced loss and grief. Losses discussed will include loss of physical and mental health and loss of a loved one through death.
