Lady Charmaine Day currently resides in Bronx, New York happily married and living with her husband Warren Benjamin, dog Porkiepoo and cat Nia. Lady Day grew up in Roosevelt (Long Island), New York. She was an A student throughout her school tenure. She was her senior class president, homecoming queen, yearbook editor and public school announcer. She graduated #3 in her class. Lady Day obtained her bachelors of science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. While attending Cornell, she was a Cornell Tradition Fellow and inducted into the prestigious Quill and Dagger Senior Honor Society. Lady Charmaine obtained her master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She served as a student senator while at Columbia, had an A average and was inducted into the prestigious Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Delta Kappa Honor Societies.

Lady Day is a seasoned business woman with over twenty years executive human resources and business consulting experience. During her tenure in corporate America, Lady Charmaine Day worked for Fortune 50 companies including Phillip Morris, FMC, Ingersoll-Rand, Nabisco, Porter Novelli, and Ketchum/Stromberg Consulting Division. She has worked for non-profit organizations including Lighthouse International, North General Hospital, New York Hospital and The Children’s Television Workshop (Sesame Street).

Lady Day is a Mental Wellness Keynote Speaker. Lady Charmaine has been a NAMI NYC Metro In Our Own Voice presenter and NAMI NYS Statewide trainer since 2008. In 2011, NAMI inducted Lady Day into their Hall of Fame for her significant contributions to the In Our Own Voice Program. Lady Charmaine Day was recognized by NAMI NYS for her mental wellness advocacy work that she does through her Taboo Talk Show, her books and presentations in 2015 by honoring Lady Day with their 2015 NAMI NYS Media Award. In 2019 she became a Lead Presenter for NAMI’s Ending The Silence Program and a trainer for NAMI New York City Metro’s Hope For Recovery Class. In 2021, she took NAMI’s Peer to Peer Recovery Education Class and in March 2022, Lady Day became a certified Peer Teacher of NAMI’s Peer to Peer Recovery Education Class. She had been profiled on Dr. Oz and WebMD and has shared her amazing story of wellness and recovery from bipolar disorder virtually and in person at hospitals, universities, colleges, schools, fortune 50 companies, nonprofits and at the Signature Theater on Broadway. In 2022,NAMI NYC awarded Lady Charmaine Day with the 2022 Volunteer of the Year Award for her contributions to their In Our Own Voice Program.

Lady Charmaine Day is an author and publisher of eight books: a Christian wisdom book called “Zero Mathematics: The Science of Today”, her autobiography entitled “Size 7 ½: Walk A Mile In My Shoes,” her memoir called “One Step From Insanity: Actual Words From the Psych Ward”, a book of wisdom called “Trinkette’s Wisdom For Every Day Living,” “H.E.E.D. S.I.M.P.L.E.,” the sequel to Size 7 1/2:Walk A Mile In My Shoes. It answers the question “What happened next on Lady Charmaine Day’s journey?” plus gives readers a self-help model called “H.E.E.D.
