Statement of Faith
FRESH HOPE INTERNATIONAL
This statement of faith encompasses the core principles that guide the board and staff of Fresh Hope International. We are committed to excellence in communicating the truths of Scripture and the person of Jesus Christ as He is presented to us in the Bible. We recognize that there is freedom of interpretation and expression among believers from different denominations. However, we believe that freedom exists within the confines of biblical truth in all areas to which Scripture speaks.
THE BIBLE
We believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
FAITH FOUNDATION
At Fresh Hope International, we believe the elements of the Apostles’ Creed to be a brief and concise outline of the major areas of Christian doctrine. This centuries-old statement provides a foundation of Christian unity that transcends denominational differences, and from which we can minister to broad segments of the population.
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
