Do you feel helpless and alone as you parent your child with disabilities? Is your mental health suffering due to the weight of the responsibilities that come with special needs?
The stress of disabilities puts families at higher risk for experiencing marital problems, compared to parents of children without disabilities. Parents caring for children with disabilities have up to twice the risk of developing their own mental health conditions versus families without disabilities. Sadly, twenty to eighty percent of marriages where mental health challenges exist are more likely to end in divorce.
Key Ministry and Fresh Hope for Mental Health offer a group to bring hope, resources and support to caregivers in families with disabilities, so the caregivers can thrive and live full, rich, faith-filled lives.
