TYPES OF GROUPS

Fresh Hope Support Groups

Our “Bread and Butter.”

Based upon the Fresh Hope 7 Principles of Recovery, a Fresh Hope Support Group is a faith-based, peer-to-peer, compassionate and nurturing community where individuals struggling with mental health challenges or emotional distress as well as their loved ones can find solace, understanding, and hope.

Fresh Hope Support Groups are ongoing and offer a variety of recovery-related topics ranging from- 40 Days of Hope, Pastor Brad’s Book, Topic Cards, Tools of Recovery, etc.

These groups offer a safe space within local churches or online, where participants can openly discuss their pain and experiences, strength, and hope. We believe that it is possible to live a rich and full life in spite of a mental health diagnosis. Fresh Hope Support Groups are a place of transformation, where individuals can reclaim their lives and find the strength to face their challenges head-on.

Focus Groups:

  • Tools of Recovery: These are 11 practical actions recommended in one’s recovery process. We read through each tool and its benefits. Pause, and comment on each one as it applies to our lives.
  • Prayers for Mental Health: A brief half an hour meeting filled with conversation sharing praise reports and prayer requests with each other and then praying for each other.
  • Pastor Brad’s Book: The Fresh Hope official workbook is read and studied. It has our founder’s testimony as well as the Principles of Recovery and a guide to work through them.
