Topic Covered by Jeffrey

Adversity, Resilience, and Hope for Family Members of Those with a Mental Illness

Jeff will discuss the shattering effects of his wife’s sudden and devastating late-onset bipolar illness. His focus is on how over the past seven years he has managed his own physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being through compassion, faith, education, and the loving support of his family and community.

Participants will leave with the knowledge of how family members of those living with a mental illness can maintain hope and strength by learning to navigate the difficult boundaries and moral uncertainties related to caregiving.
