I&#8217;m curious to hear your answer.<\/p><p>As a mental health professional, my private coaching practice focuses primarily on helping others take the tension out of trauma triggers. Recently, I discovered the need to balance that work with joy-building practices. I\u2019m calling this practice, \u201cGlimmering,\u201d based off Deb Dana\u2019s (LCSW) work with \u201cglimmers.\u201d<\/p><p>Glimmers are tiny micro-moments of joy that allow us to feel calm and give us a sense of inner peace. In this workshop, we discuss three big thoughts:<\/p><ol><li>The Polyvagal Theory and how it helps us find glimmers even during difficult days.<\/li><li>The concept of &#8220;glimmers&#8221; vs &#8220;triggers.&#8221;<\/li><li>The need for joy-building, especially during mental health work.<\/li><\/ol><p>At the center of our big thoughts is possibly one of the biggest, found in 2 Corinthians 9:8, &#8220;And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.&#8221; Notice the powerful placement of &#8220;all&#8221; in this verse.
