‘Fresh Hope for Mental Health’ Receives Prestigious Global Health & Pharma Award
International Nonprofit is Formally Honored for Commitment to
Peer-Led Mental Support
OMAHA, Neb., October 13, 2022 — In the announcement of the 2022 Global Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Awards, faith-based organization Fresh Hope for Mental Health was presented with the esteemed award of “Most Dedicated International Mental Health Peer Support Organization 2022.”
Consistent with this distinguished honor is Fresh Hope’s fervent mission: to provide those who are hopeless a safe place to process their pain and experience faith-filled hope modeled and shared through the support of peers who are living well despite their mental health challenges. The Christ-centered approach to mental health recovery and wellness serves as a bridge to hope and lasting joy.
“We’re incredibly thankful to be recognized for the work God has called and equipped us to do,” announced founder of Fresh Hope, pastor, author and mental health advocate, Brad Hoefs. “It’s such a blessing to be encouraged in our ministry in such a notable way.”
Through the mobilization of trained “Hope Coaches” in communities across the world, Fresh Hope has helped thousands of people living with mental health challenges through peer leadership from those who have “been there” and are now living active, faith- and hope-filled lives well.
“Receiving this award is both humbling and affirming,” said Hoefs. “Through partnerships with churches, the establishment of peer-led support groups and God’s blessing, we believe there’s still so much the Lord wants to do through this ministry.”
In fulfilling their niche call to ministry, Fresh Hope’s ongoing vision is to bridge the gap for those living with a mental health diagnosis from the point of diagnosis to the point of living well — establishing lasting, faith-filled hope within individuals around the world.
